APS Pest Control White-Shouldered House Moth

White-Shouldered House Moth

Adult - 6 to 10mm long, head & thorax are brilliant white, forewings are mottled.

Larva - up to 12 mm long. Ivory white with a red-brown head.

Pupa - silk like cocoon

APS Pest Control - Common Clothes Moth

The Common Cloths Moth

Adult - 6—8 mm long. Forewings shiny golden-buff with no markings. Trailing edge of the wings is strongly fringed.

Larva - up to 10mm long. Creamy white with a golden brown head. Lives in a silken tube often 10 to 15 times the length of the body.

Pupa - approx. 6mm long

APS Pest Control - Case-bearing Clothes Moth

The Case-bearing Cloths Moth

Adult - 6mm long. Dark buff forewings with three fain spots (may appear as two)

Larva - up to 10mm long. Lives in a silken tube, which is usually the colour of the fabric it has been eating

Carpets and clothes can be infested by the Common Cloths Moth

The appropriate method to eradicate this type of infestation will be to carry out a thorough survey of all storage areas.

When this has been completed and infested areas located, treatments will then be applied to the health & safety guide line.

Usually three treatment and survey will be carried out to ensure total eradication of all infested areas.
